  6.   Visage is an IFF/GIF/JPeg/Datatypes viewer for the AmigaOS version 3.0 or
  7. higher. Main features include:

  9.   · Support for AA (AGA), ECS, RTG, PCHG and SHAM. ;)
  10.  
  11.   · Can display "deep" pictures in all formats on ECS Amigas, rendered in
  12. HAM or grayscale (datatypes work differently).
  13.  
  14.   · Can scale "rendered" pictures to fit the screen.
  15.  
  16.   · Extensive monitor support. Uses a BestModeID()-like function to find a
  17. suitable mode (if needed).
  18.  
  19.   · Any native Amiga screen mode can be specified with text! No numbers
  20. needed. But you can use numbers, if you so wish. Or a requester.

  22.   · Simple promotion of pictures to any installed monitor. No hardcoded
  23. command line options for this. There is even a monitor requester! ;)

  25.   · Several slideshow options, including a random mode, making PicView
  26. ideal for use with screen blankers as an external module.

  33.   It is recommended to use the Installer, since it takes care of some
  34. not-so-obvious details, regarding the JPEG reader (in Visage) and the
  35. manual.

  37.   Also, note that the automatic language selection doesn't work with all
  38. versions of the Installer.
